12 Days of Giveaways 2018

It’s that time of the year again! Who here begins celebrating the holidays the minute that Halloween is over? I do! And in true form to celebrating the holidays, I’m extremely excited to be hosting my third annual 12 Days of Giveaways!

If this is your first time here to the blog, or your first time stumbling onto my annual holiday giveaway, you’re in for a treat. Each and every single year, I partner with some of my favourite brands to give back to my community and to thank you guys for all of the amazing support that you’ve given me this past year. It truly goes without saying that I wouldn’t be able to do what I do without each and every single person who reads my posts, leaves me lovely comments, and sends me the most heartfelt emails. So thank you a million times over! And although I would love to be able to send everyone a gift, that isn’t exactly the most feasible thing to do, so hopefully 12 lucky individuals will get to enjoy a little something special from my favourite brands right on time for the holidays!

The rules as always are very simple (please read below), with only 2 new additions to the requirements for this year. A new giveaway revealed each morning at 7:30 AM EST, and the winner from the previous date will also be revealed at the same time as well. Remember to come back daily for a new chance to win and I wish you all the best of luck!

As early as mid-November. I like when the house smells like holidays early on.

  2. November 1, 2018 / 2:39 pm

Day 1: Its actually quite funny because I started the holiday decor yesterday on my way home from work. Some stores were taking down their Halloween decor and I went straight for the Xmas stuff! Already have an Xmas table runner with candles set up in the dining room. Also purchased new Xmas bed sheets and cushions from H&M home – just waiting for them to arrive 🙂

    Thanks for doing this giveaway!

As early as September tbh! I love the holiday decor – even the simplest of things like string lights make things so festive!

Day 1: Oh hell as soon as Halloween is over haha I barely do much for Halloween, I just sneak around in the dark so that none of the kids ring the doorbell. We are finally getting a new tree this year so saying goodbye to the dinky sparse one 🙂

Day 1: It goes up as soon as Halloween is over! Actually, I barely do anything for Halloween, just sneak around in the dark so no trick or treaters ring the doorbell >< Finally getting a new tree this year so I'm super excited!

Day 1: Most years it is somewhere around 2 pm on December 24 – while cursing. For several years now, I have pushed my husband into letting me put everything up in mid-November. It’s not so I can OD on Christmas, but rather so I don’t end up sweating and cursing on the 24th. We get so busy in December that it just never seems to get done. And keep in mind, hubby’s idea of decorating is hauling out the tree and the decorations and dumping them in the living room and then leaving! So. This year I have put my foot down and will be decorating on November 17.

Day 2: Holiday Traditions – My boyfriend and I buy 10 mini gifts (socks etc) for each other every year and start exchanging them 10 days before xmas! Our place is not big so we have a mini tree that we like to set up and usually film a cute time lapse 🙂 Family Traditions – we all head over to the Old Mill Inn the sunday evening before xmas for their festive Sunday dinner buffet. The food is okay but I love how festive and cozy the place is 🙂

Thanks for doing this giveaway 🙂

A few years ago, faced with yet another two turkey dinners in a row, we opted to have a waffle brunch on December 24th instead – and we have never looked back. I make fresh waffles, set out bowls of fresh fruit, whipped cream, and yummy maple syrup and everyone builds their own meal. We upgraded to a Belgian style waffle maker about two years ago, so it’s a pretty decadent meal!

Day 3: I love finding a very nourishing/ hydrating nude shade lipstick/ pigmented lip balm for the holidays. I live in Montreal and the winter is pretty harsh, so I like to avoid the whole chapped lipped situation. I also hate hat you can tell whose wine glass it is at Xmas bc of my aunts lip stick marks everywhere.. I also never wear a nude lip, because I find it had to find some that suit my very pale skin tone. I usually go for more pinky-maybe shades

Day3: I try to add sparkle to my eyes, cheeks and lips for the holiday season!

  35. November 3, 2018 / 10:25 am

Day 3: I try but I’m such a noob when it comes to make up! I definitely watch tutorials and attempt to copy and wish I looked as half as good as them haha but yeah generally just more rosy cheeks, glittery eyes and definitely a popping red lip when I go to parties!
Thanks for doing the giveaway 🙂

Day 4: I used to have the same resolution every year – to lose weight lol. Does it ever happen? Not really. But last year I started working out and I can’t say I lost a tone of weight (I’m not fat just weight conscious) but I did get a lot stronger and build up more muscles. So to be honest this year I didn’t even bother making a resolution about my weight.

  58. Dayana
    November 4, 2018 / 8:31 am

Day 4: My new year resolution was to cleanse myself, get over some toxic friends and become a better person and friend to my real friends! It was hard since I wasn’t sure how to go about it, but I think I matured a lot this year, became less self-conscious and more self-reliant.

  61. Mai Nguyen
    November 4, 2018 / 9:53 am

Day 4: My New Years resolution last year was to worry less and keep a better work-life balance. I feel like I’ve achieved it! I’m trying to be more conscious about not bringing my work home and not worrying about things that I have no control over.

  67. November 4, 2018 / 7:19 pm

Day 4: I made a resolution to spend less and save more. It sort of happened. I opened up a TFSA and saved some…but then after school started I spent some of it.
This year I’m hoping to get better at least watercolour painting

    November 4, 2018 / 10:45 pm

Day 4: My new year’s resolution every year is always some kind of fitness goal. My goal was to lose 10 lbs last year. I didn’t achieve it in 2017, but i’m more than halfway there fore 2018!

  71. Patricia Buenaventura
    November 5, 2018 / 8:38 am

Day 5: I honestly prefer gift wrap. Growing up I was the “wrapper” in the family. I loved wrapping presents and adding a different flare, or fold in each one (changing the ribbon style, etc.). I mean anyone can be a gift bagger, it sounds more special when you know someone actually also wrapped your present!

    November 5, 2018 / 1:50 pm

Day 5: I love giftwrapping my gifts as there are so many fun and different options to choose from. It also gives the person excitement of ripping it all off when opening it.

  76. November 5, 2018 / 2:10 pm

Day 5: It depends on the gift, but I mostly like to use gift bags, they are also reusable and less waste.

  77. Natalie V
    November 5, 2018 / 6:42 pm

Day 5 – Nob 5, 2018 – Gift wrap! Adds a certain care and attention to the package. But for wine gifts – yep, a bag! lol

  78. November 5, 2018 / 8:08 pm

Day 5: giftwrap! It feels more special since there’s more effort in it and you can get really creative (as Pinterest has taught me)

  79. Jonnie
    November 5, 2018 / 8:09 pm

Day 5 – I prefer the look of gift wrap but I usually end up using gift bags at the last minute because I procrastinate. At least the recipient can reuse the gift bag, right?

Day 5: it really depends on who the gift is for. For kids, I like to wrap them since I know how exciting it is to unwrap something. But for adults, I prefer just a gift bag. Let’s be honest, who likes cleaning up the mess of all the ripped wrapping paper afterward?! I like keeping all the gift bags and reuse it. A bag full of bags! Lol

Day 5: I like the idea of gift bags because they are reusable. In fact, years ago, I made a group of fabric bags so we could use them for years – but people liked them and they didn’t come back! I only have two of them left. That said, I think that you can create a much prettier package with gift wrap. So I prefer the look of gift wrap and the economics of gift bags.

I’ve heard incredible things about the Oral B. I’d love to get a chance to try it.
Every Christmas my family & I host a Christmas Carol sing-along at our local retirement residence. The residents really like it because most of the entertainment they get there is entertainment at them. We have them sing along with us. They absolutely love it and get really involved in singing. We also bring along 8 dozen Krispy Kreme donuts. That really gets them going at the end.

Day 13 Have not started holiday shopping yet but don’t actually have a ton to do so not concerned about it. My son and his wife who live close by get gift cards as does my son who lives out west. And my daughter son in law and granddaughter who live overseas get gifts when we go to visit them. Since my daughter and granddaughter came to visit this summer, I sent along some Christmas gifts for my granddaughter. Will probably be purchasing gift cards when I notice there are bonus offers attached.
