We all know the woes of shopping. You spend at least 30 minutes putting together a ridiculously cute outfit, only to have to spend another 10 minutes in the change room trying to take it all off to try on clothes. There’s nothing more frustrating than having to peel back your skinny jeans repeatedly over and over, when trying on different pairs of pants all day. Granted, it’s all you’re going to want to wear in the winter, but as the weather warms up, there are options to make your shopping experience a little easier.
Remember last week when I went on a helicopter ride with Canadian Tire to check out the World’s Largest Paint Swatch, and then I chose a colour from it afterwards? Well now is the time for the big reveal and a quick DIY!
I wanted to give my space a bit of an “oompf” factor without overhauling it completely, so I decided to go for an accent wall to change things up a bit. My space is currently white all over, and don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love it. But not being able to drill various shelves and frames in the wall kind of makes the space a little sterile after awhile. When the walls are bland, you start to feel bland. So what better way to change it up, than by painting an accent wall that I can easily paint back to white one day when I need to move out?
It’s almost Mother’s Day! If you haven’t already picked up your gifts, then you better get crackin’ because you only have until Sunday before the big celebration. For those of you stuck in a slump and with no clue what to get your mom, fear not. I’ve put together a quick gift guide for varying price ranges to help you out regardless of your budget! If you’re planning on placing orders, make sure to get them ASAP and with express shipping, because you haven’t got too many days left!
Happy early Mother’s Day to all of you moms who ever read my blog – we wouldn’t be here without you, and love you to the moon and back!
If you’re a swimsuit collector, then you’ll know that Solid & Striped is the name of a fantastic brand. I’d give anything to be in a swimsuit right now considering how gloomy Toronto has been this past week. Unfortunately I’m in full on sweats as I write out this blog post (surprise, bloggers aren’t always impeccably dressed) but would kill to be back on the sunny beaches of Mexico.
If you follow me on Instagram, then you’ll know that I recently had the pleasure of riding my first-ever helicopter with Canadian Tire. Being a major item to cross off on my bucket list, I immediately jumped at the opportunity when it landed in my inbox. Talk about an experience to last a lifetime!
Over the past few years since moving to Toronto, I’ve been renting, and living the renter life truly limits you to how much you can change up a space. Being someone else’s property, it’s not exactly easy to make modifications as you see fit. I can’t have the marble counter top of my dreams, or a beautiful aluminum back splash (but those will still remain my one-day goals). Although simple changes such as painting the walls and hanging up picture frames have always been an option, I always hesitated due to the fact that I have a dog, and there’s no way that I can keep him from running in and playing with the equipment. Which meant that the dream of adding some colour into my life was placed in the back burner.
