For all of my Instagram followers, this definitely is not a surprise. Probably more of a ‘duh’ fact than anything else. I have a bad obsession with coffee. Actually, I lie. The obsession isn’t bad because I’ve met some of my best friends over coffee. It’s just my addiction to the drink that’s bad for me. I’m pretty much shackled to the grips of caffeine and can’t get my day started properly without a proper cup o’ joe. All that aside, I like to keep my blog a happy place, so I wanted to share with you one of my recent finds this month – Hailed Coffee.

I don’t usually venture to the East End of the city, and when I do, I’m typically brunching at Saturday Dinette. They don’t serve drip coffee there, so I’m usually left feeling overdue for a cup of coffee. Low and behold, a brand new coffee joint opened up literally next door and I found myself popping in. What started out as brunch with my gals ended up turning into a coffee date. Not that I way say no anyways! I would like to forewarn any photographer that this place is a dream to shoot. With its super cute hexagonally tiled floors, to the overall white and minimalistic style of decor, you can easily walk in and leave with at least 10 perfect photos.

I was mainly obsessed with the lowly-elevated tables that make shooting food flatlays extremely feasible. Not going to lie, I did hop up onto a chair to get the perfect overhead shot with some tiles, but if I only wanted to shoot the surface area of the table, I definitely didn’t need to elevate myself.

Obviously I had to snag myeslf a couple shots in the coffee shop before leaving to explore the East End of the city. It was extremely humid and muggy that day, so I decided to throw on another super cute Gayeon Lee top from Plan de Ville. I can’t get over how amazing Gayeon Lee‘s geometrically inspired designs are. They’re definitely very different from what I typically wear on an everyday basis (I’m really a jeans and a T-shirt kind of girl on my days off), so it was fun being able to dress up a bit.
