A Day of Comfort

A Day of Comfort

After days of dressing myself in stiff clothing (cue my last post), there are days when I just want to walk around in comfort. And when I want something, I do it. Instead of layering up, today I threw on a chunky knit sweater that would allow me room for movement (not just jumping, I like to move around in the office too) and my comfiest and most spring-like trousers that I could find.

Most people may assume that trousers aren’t comfortable, but I beg to differ with this pair. Not only is the material woven with elastic so that it’s forgiving, but the thick banded waist doesn’t cut into my hips when I’m sitting down either. The comfort level of your waistband is very much an important factor to selecting which pants to wear in the morning when you spend the majority of the day sitting in front of a computer.

The only other perfect way to complete such a comfortable yet forgiving outfit, would be to finish it off with a pair of flats. But if I’m going to be comfy casual, then something has to stand out. For my part, it would be my shoes. My entire look was already extremely neutrified (is that even a word?), so what better way to tie up the whole outfit than with the flashiest pair of flats that I own? And by flashy, I literally mean flashy. I can easily see my reflection in these pair of assymetrical flats, and I won’t lie when I say that I’ve even used them to apply liptsick once when a mirror wasn’t available. I mean, versatility right?

But not only did my flats pull everything together nicely, they also double dutied by providing my feet some well deserved rest from my heels and boots. A comfortable day? Yes indeed.
