The 5 Coats You Need for Winter 2018

Welcome to 2018! I’ve been away for a week with the intention of taking some time to relax and enjoy the company of family, but now I’m back in full force! There’s going to be so much happening in 2018 already, I can feel it. Within the next few weeks, I’ll be sharing with you my 24 hours in Vernon with Buick, holidays in Ottawa/MTL/Quebec City, and some other travel recaps from last year that I didn’t get to post yet. I’m also feeling that a 2017 recap to be able to look back on the past year will be a great way to share with you some of my favourite highlights—if you haven’t already watched my stories on Instagram, I already have a highlight recapping all of my favourite moments!

An #MDVPHoliday17 - Dine & Unwind

It’s been a crazy year to say the least. At least it’s that time of the year when I can finally relax a little bit with my crew. Every year close to the holidays, Peter, Mel, Dave and I take some time off and spend a weekend together exploring the city. We go out for a fun dinner, and just essentially appreciate our time together as a group – #MDVPHoliday. Last year we had a crazy fun weekend and this year’s #MDVPHoliday17 was just the same to say the least.

Holiday 2018 Gift Guide: For The Homemaker

December 22, 2017

Once you reach a certain age, practical gifts are more exciting to receive than the trendiest shirt. There are so many things that I’d love to have, but can never bring myself to purchasing them due to how practical they are. I know, it sounds extremely counter intuitive, but buying yourself practical stuff isn’t as gratifying as getting yourself something that’s fun, new and exciting. So if you have a friend that just recently purchased a home, is big on home decor, or just loves home things in general, then this gift guide is for you. Also side note to all the people who are considering getting me a gift, I would thoroughly enjoy any of the below selections so that I don’t have to get them for myself 😉

Holiday 2018 Gift Guide: For The Hostess

December 21, 2017

If you’re like me, you probably have a few dinner parties to attend over the holidays. As a courteous guest, I always try to bring a gift for the hostess (even if it’s family) as a thank you for putting together the evening. Coming up with a relatively affordable hostess gift that isn’t your simple grab and go bottle of wine can be tricky for the last minute attendee—yes I sometimes forget and have resorted to doing that in the past as well. If you don’t want to be the typical guest that shows up and stocks the hosts’ kitchen with endless bottles of red, try out some of these for a change this holiday season to wow your host!

Holiday 2018 Gift Guide: For The Boy

December 20, 2017

Shopping for the special man in your life can often be a tough one. Whether it be for your dad, brother, boyfriend, husband, or even friend—I, myself, often find it hard to pick out the perfect gift. This year instead of making guesses as to what would be considered a quality gift, I left it up to P to determine that. Hopefully coming directly from the boy’s thoughts, your special someone will love your gift!

May I personally make a recommendation for #8 to any fellow blogger out there. Our Instagram husbands do quite a fair bit for us, that with all the equipment that they carry, it’s about time that they have something suitable to hold it all in!
