DIY Accent Wall: Transforming Small Spaces with Premier Paint

DIY Accent Wall: Transformation Small Spaces wit Premier Paint

Remember last week when I went on a helicopter ride with Canadian Tire to check out the World’s Largest Paint Swatch, and then I chose a colour from it afterwards? Well now is the time for the big reveal and a quick DIY!

I wanted to give my space a bit of an “oompf” factor without overhauling it completely, so I decided to go for an accent wall to change things up a bit. My space is currently white all over, and don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love it. But not being able to drill various shelves and frames in the wall kind of makes the space a little sterile after awhile. When the walls are bland, you start to feel bland. So what better way to change it up, than by painting an accent wall that I can easily paint back to white one day when I need to move out?

My First Ever Helicopter Ride with Canadian Tire

My First Helicopter Ride

If you follow me on Instagram, then you’ll know that I recently had the pleasure of riding my first-ever helicopter with Canadian Tire. Being a major item to cross off on my bucket list, I immediately jumped at the opportunity when it landed in my inbox. Talk about an experience to last a lifetime!

Being someone else’s property, it’s not exactly easy to make modifications as you see fit. I can’t have the marble counter top of my dreams, or a beautiful aluminum back splash (but those will still remain my one-day goals). Although simple changes such as painting the walls and hanging up picture frames have always been an option, I always hesitated due to the fact that I have a dog, and there’s no way that I can keep him from running in and playing with the equipment. Which meant that the dream of adding some colour into my life was placed in the back burner.

Vancouver Wanders: OPUS

Swimsuit – MISSPAP

A couple weeks ago, P and I took our first ever long distance trip together. It’s weird to think that in the past 5 years that we’ve been together, we haven’t had a chance to travel farther than Toronto, Ottawa, and Montreal. For other fellow Ontarioans (please tell me that’s a phrase), these 3 destinations are quite standard – so it was nice to finally go somewhere outside of the basic East Coast cities.

Artemano Family Moments

Growing up, some of my fondest memories revolve around the family room of my parents’ house. In my toddler stages, I remember being chased around and around the coffee table. It only took me a year to realize that running in between and through the legs of the table and not around was what it took to win the game of cat and mouse. Fast forward several years later (think of a 7 year old me), and I was the one chasing my younger brother around the table.

Merry Christmas

Have a holly jolly Christmas, it’s the best time of the year! We survived the torment of a 5 hour long trip back to Ottawa and I’m ready to spend some much deserved time with the family and catch up on my Zzz’s.

I’ll be signing off from the blog for a couple of days to celebrate the holidays, but I’ll be back before New Years! Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a lovely holiday season. See you in a couple of days!
