Cherry Pop

I’ve spent the last couple of months making a concerted effort to integrate more colour into my life. I have to say that it’s definitely freeing! Sure, I still gravitate towards my neutrals, but it’s been really nice to be able to now pick from other colours in my closet besides just black, white, beiges, and browns. I won’t lie though and say that I’m now wearing every colour under the rainbow because I definitely am not. I’ve recently only begun to incorporate pinks, reds, and florals into my attire and I fully blame my blogger friends for it! Everytime I’m around Tee or Camilla, they’re wearing the cutest floral dresses and I’m left with serious FOMO due to my lack-of-colour of a closet. Thus, inspired to start wearing more colour and florals. Trust me, it’s a breath of fresh air.

Celebrating 15 Years of the Sweetie

Celebrting 15 Years of the Sweetie

Dress – Marshall's / Jacket – All Saints (similar here) / Heels – Stuart Weitzman / Bracelet – Links of London

When I was younger, charm bracelets were a big thing in my life. I would visit the mall once a month to pick up a new one to add to my collection. From clip on charms, to chain link bracelets, you name it – I had it! Sadly though, jewelry made for children isn't necessarily designed to grow with you. A lot of the charm bracelets that I had owned at the time ended up tarnishing, breaking, and even getting lost. Yep, lost. I wasn't the most careful child out there.

#INeverExpire With SK-II

We’re going to be riding that train of serious topics again today. Just got off one talking about Instagram, and now onto the next one about expiry dates and ages. I recently celebrated my 26th birthday this past week, and couldn’t help but feel defeated as opposed to excited. And it’s a feeling that’s been recurring for the past few years.

Back in middle school, I learned that a female’s peak physical condition is when she’s around 25/26 years old. At the ripe old age of 12, you can imagine that that seemed like light years away for me. But as I gradually got older and older, and closer and closer to the peak age, my enthusiasm towards celebrating birthdays waned. Why would I want to celebrate my expiry? Rather celebrate the fact that I’m getting towards my peak age and that my body will just be a downhill journey from there? And then I stopped myself. Who is society to tell me that I can’t continue to ride my peak throughout my late 20s and even into my 30s?

Why I Began Falling Out Of Love With Instagram

Why I've Begin Falling Out Of Love With Instagram

Dress – Marshall’s / Shoes – Raye / Bag – Chloe / Sunglasses – Le Chateau

Oh man, what a week it’s been so far and it’s only Thursday. I promise that I’m not going radio silent. I just went back to Ottawa for Canada’s 150, and then came back to Toronto to celebrate my birthday with P, which meant that I basically unplugged for the past 5 days (besides posting to Instagram) and it felt so nice! This post was totally not something that I meant to write about so soon after my birthday, but it’s something that’s been on my mind for the past while and I really wanted to finally get it all off of my chest.

#CLUBTHROWBACK

T-Shirt – Club Monaco / Skirt – Misspap / Bag – Chloe / Sunglasses – Covry / Boots – Cartel

They say great minds think alike, so I wasn’t surprised with Aney wound up with the same T-shirt from Club Monaco’s heritage collection that just dropped last week. And to make matters worse, we even ended up styling our T-shirts in the exact same way, with a black leather skirt. Luckily we didn’t take it far enough to have matching shoes (thank god), and looked somewhat different next to each other.
