24 Hours in Vernon, BC with Buick

Earlier in December, I had the pleasure of flying out to Vernon, BC to test drive Buick’s brand new 2018 Enclave. If you remember awhile back, I joined GMC in Calgary for the Calgary Stampede to test drive some of GMC’s 2017 releases, and I had such a lovely time that I obviously had to say yes when Buick reached out to me for the 2018 Enclave Press Trip. If you’re not familiar with Buick, it’s a North American automobile retailer that falls under the GMC family.

I’m not typically the biggest fan of 24 hour trips since the flights back and forth usually take quite the toll out on me (blame the aging me for not being able to cope with quick-haul trips), but when the itinerary included some driving time in the new Buick Enclave (coupled together with a spa experience), the obvious answer was an emphatic yes!

An #MDVPHoliday17 - Dine & Unwind

It’s been a crazy year to say the least. At least it’s that time of the year when I can finally relax a little bit with my crew. Every year close to the holidays, Peter, Mel, Dave and I take some time off and spend a weekend together exploring the city. We go out for a fun dinner, and just essentially appreciate our time together as a group – #MDVPHoliday. Last year we had a crazy fun weekend and this year’s #MDVPHoliday17 was just the same to say the least.

#GetAwayAndPlay for 24 Hours in Blue Mountain

#GetAwayAndPlay for 24 Hours in Collingwood

A couple of weekends ago, The Body Shop whisked myself and my dearest group of friends away up to Blue Mountain for a relaxing retreat to celebrate the launch of their holiday collection. Now I’ve been a long time fan of The Body Shop. Not in the sense that I discovered the brand in high school when I first started tinkering with makeup and skincare, but in the sense that I’ve literally grown up with their products, and was familiar with them even before the massive re-branding that took place within the past few years.

Having had the opportunity to work closely with the brand over the past few years, I’ve had the chance to have early access to all of their launches, but this year’s holiday collection totally beats out all of the others. If you’re still looking for the perfect gifts, stop. Head to The Body Shop now and finish up the rest of your shopping, because there is almost no physical way that you won’t find at least one thing for each person your list. But the better part about shopping from them is the phenomenal initiative that they have in place this year.

Morocco Travel Diaries: 10 Things You Should Know Before You Go

October 27, 2017

When it comes to Morocco, there’s a heavy myth that I want to dispel. Before Instagram, Morocco was never that far up on the radar for me of places to visit. With the help of social media platforms coupled with travel wanderlust, FOMO very quickly became a thing. The only photos that I ever saw of Morocco were of the beautiful hotels, jaw dropping architecture, and stunning scenery. But that isn’t the case. Sure I loved Morocco, but to be very honest, it probably isn’t going to be a place that I would suggest that everyone put at the top of their travel bucket list. While it’s most definitely a phenomenal place to visit, travelers be wary. Here are some things to keep in mind before you book that trip to Morocco.
