Calgary Travel Diary: Stampeding with GMC

Dress – Muche et Muchette / Boots – Cartel / Bandana – Zara / Hat – Smithbilt Hats

A few weeks ago, P and I had the pleasure of going to the Calgary Stampede for the first time ever. Thanks to GMC for taking us there, we had the opportunity of experiencing the rodeo first hand, and exploring the wildnerness of Calgary. If you remember a couple months back, towards the beginning of this year, I went with a bunch of girls to Banff to check out the view. Albeit being wintertime, the landscape was unbelievably beautiful. I made a solemn promise to myself that I would eventually be back in the summer just to see how beautiful the views are unobstructed by snow.

Top 10 Favourite Coffee Shops of Toronto

Top 10 Favourite Coffee Shops of Toronto

I took a little bit of a hiatus from blogging and went to Mexico over the past week. Oddly enough I didn’t drink much coffee while there, which is completely out of my character. Coming back to Toronto signified the necessity of coffee in my daily routine and I realized that although I’ve visited many different cafes across the city, I’ve never once really shared my opinions or my favourites with you – my readers. And it doesn’t help that I constantly get asked which ones are my favourite. The problem is that whenever I’m put on the spot, I can’t really come up with which ones I like the best. So why not have it all in one place that I can easily refer back to for anyone who ever wants to know?

So without further ado, here are my top 10 favourite coffee shops in Toronto – and in no particular order, I simply organized them alphabetically for easier sorting. Who knows, if I’m not too lazy, maybe I’ll start ranking my favourite cafes in relation to areas of the city as well! Because although there are only 10 here, there are definitely a lot more that I’d highly recommend that you visit!

Banff Travel Diary With McCafe

Cozy up in front of the fireplace because this is going to be a long one.

If you’ve been following me on Instagram, then you’ll know that I recently went on a trip with my girls (Mel, Tee, Nina & Qing) to Banff. And you may or may not know, but McCafe has recently partnered with WestJet to now serve freshly brewed McCafe Premium Roast coffee on all flights, and we were invited to help celebrate the partnership. Now you may be thinking to yourself “but Vic, we never see you drinking McCafe, only coffee from hipster cafes.” And you’re right, I do showcase many different cafes across Toronto and my travels, but McCafe has always been the go-to since Day 1, especially when it comes to travel or on-the-go fuel.

An #MDVPHoliday Staycation

December 21, 2016

We are mere days away from Christmas, which means tons of time off with friends and family. I know that this time of the year can be quite chaotic for everyone (heck I always feel like a chicken running around with its head cut-off), so what better way to destress than to plan a little staycation in the city? Team #MDVP (Mel, Dave, Vic, and Peter) decided to go on a little staycation of our own this past weekend and wanted to share our experience with you. Literally within a weekend, here is how we enjoyed our city at its finest and played “vacay” without ever having to drive outside of the city limits.

NYC Travel Diaries: 10 Things To Do in Soho

November 11, 2016

When in Soho, do as the New Yorkers do! Or better yet, get the best out of New York in the least amount of time – quite literally the definition of a New York Minute. Could I say New York anymore times within one sentence?

Having visited the state several times, I can proudly say that I’m Soho experienced – it’s easily my favourite part of the city. In case you’re planning a trip anytime soon, here are my favourite and highly recommended things to do while in Soho.

Admire the beautiful architecture.

Chicago is known for its beautiful buildings and rich history of architecture, but Soho has something of an old world charm thanks to all of the fire escapes and crown moldings found on the buildings.
