Colour, It’s a Thing

Colour, It's a Thing

Yes you heard me, colour is definitely a word that’s in my vocabulary. I don’t often wear colour, but when I do, I like to be fun with my options. Thank god that patches and embroidery are a thing again because now I can play with colour without having to commit too hard to anything. You most definitely will not be seeing bright red sweaters on me any time soon. But maybe some red embroidered flowers here and there. That can be a thing.

Thanks to the upcoming holidays, I’ve been toying with a little bit of more colour lately. Don’t bank on this sticking around after the new year, because I’ll more likely than not go back to my regular monochromatic life.

I’ve been extremely into sweaters lately and have made it my mission to stock up on sweaters as opposed to any other clothing piece this season. Most of the ones that I currently own are nice and chunky knits, so I felt that it was time to diversify my sweater repetoire (besides just wearing colour again), but going for the tight knit route and exploring some embroidery. And although I almost never wear red, for some reason, the flowers on this sweater really resonated with me and didn’t feel as bright as they actually were.

Let’s just say that at the time that I saw this sweater, I must have seen it less vibrant than it appears. Nonetheless, it’s a really warm sweater, so at least it’s functional!
