Earlier this week, I had the opportunity to attend the Rogers Cup as National Bank’s guest. Being a once massive tennis player as a kid, there was no way that I could turn down the offer – and I’m glad that I didn’t. Besides being able to watch the game between Pospisil and Chardy, National Bank hooked us up with an exclusive tour of the grounds that included a sneak peek into the players’ lounge and access onto centre court!
It was such a fun and cool experience to be able to get a glimpse of the behind-the-scenes action that goes on. There’s so much more that happens at the Rogers Cup than just the matches themselves. We had the opportunity to see how the players’ racquets are restrung and where they hang out (and yes they play ping-pong!) when they want to chill out. Did you know that the players also have an on-site salon at their leisure if they ever want to get their nails and hair done? Crazy!
It was only fitting to wear my favourite athleisure brand to the sports event, and I was really stoked that I picked up some of Bench’s new Fall/Winter pieces the day before from CF Eaton Centre. A couple weeks back, I previewed Bench.’s Fall/Winter 2017 collection and had my eye on this crepe olive blouse-dress. I definitely wasn’t expecting to be able to find it available in stores this early in August, so I was overjoyed when I spotted it.
The light material actually makes it perfect for the warmer weather, and you can absolutely throw on a pair of leggings underneath come fall time (which I probably will do) to make sure that you don’t feel the chill. I honestly can’t wait to transition this amazing piece over into cooler temperatures come fall!
