January Lust Listt

A new year means new lusts – obviously. But unfortunately for me, I always want new things regardless of the time of the year. There isn’t much of a theme for this month, unless you count wanting all of the things that you couldn’t get for yourself during December because you’re to busy shopping for everybody else. Hey, Christmas is the season of giving right? So I can’t be selfish and give in to every shopping whim that I happen upon. Instead, I curate my monthly Lust Listt to see what I can/can’t fit into this month’s budget.

Judging from the pieces that I’ve curated for this list, I seem to be veering towards a relaxed vibe (queue all of the pillows, candles and sunglasses to hide my tired eyes), or something slightly edgier (say hello to the cool gold cap-toe brogues and the window pane pumps). Whatever feel I was going for, it’s safe to say that there isn’t one solid one. Which makes it all the more fun right?

January Lust Listt

  1. Gold Fleur Pillow (Indigo) | $79.50
I’m a sucker for anything metallic, but I really hate when the sheen isn’t real and it’s just an effect that’s been printed on. This pillow however, defies that logic. The gorgeous gold foil beautifully accentuates the floral illustration to brighten up the darkest of your decor.
  2. Steelcat (QUAY) | $45.00
I like a good pair of cat eye sunnies, but when a laser cut frame is thrown into the mix, I’m head over heels in love. A trip to the tropics to escape this winter cold anyone?
  3. Naked On The Run (Urban Decay) | $54.00
Since I travel a lot between visiting my family and work, I try to pack as light as I can. Makeup is always the hardest to cut down since I’m always second guessing myself as to what I need to bring home. This travel kit however makes it easier since you’re given all of the necessary components to pull off a clean look with just the essentials.
  4. Earring 2007-CAECZ1 (OAK + FORT) | $18.00
I’m a big stud earring fan, and I like classic yet refined pieces. Although lately I’ve been stuck to my pearls and crystals, sometimes a girl just needs a new piece.
  5. Metal Detail Velvet Bluchers (ZARA) | $79.90
Everyone likes a good capped-toe. I for one am swooning for the hardware and velvet combination.
  6. Ring C06-OARC06 (OAK + FORT) | $8.00
I’ve recently gotten into midi rings (I know, late to the party), and I love the simplicity of them. Especially this design, since it appears so organic and not forced.
  7. Valleri III (SENSO) | $275.00
2014 began the window pane trend, and I predict that 2015 will truly be the year of the window pane. So why not have shows in that pattern too?
  8. Roses Candle (Diptyque) | $60.00
Being your typical girl, I have a thing for candles. But after I recently finished burning my Voluspa one, I noticed a difference in scent dependent on the quality of wax. Sometimes it’s nice to treat yourself to something a little bit more luxurious, although I’m not suggesting that everyone go out and only buy $60 candles. That’s obviously ridiculous.
  9. Set of 3 Notebooks (Indigo) | $15.00
I always like to start a fresh notebook/journal at the beginning of each year (“turning a new leaf”), mostly because I love the feeling of crisp fresh paper. I’m just kidding. I just find that a fresh journal motivates me to complete my goals, and I fully believe that writing down your goals forces you to actualize them and to put them forward in motion.
