Layering The Monochrome

It’s getting warmer here, but not warm enough yet. But warm enough to the point where I no longer have to wear pants and boots. Three cheers to being able to break back out the flats to wear on an everyday basis besides just into the office! However even though the sun comes out more and more on a more frequent basis, I just can’t seem to shake this strong black lifestyle that I’ve been living in the entire winter.

Is it bad to just want to wear black and whites and varying shades in between all throughout the year? It’s just so easy to put together outfits that are guaranteed to look good every single time. Plus it also makes my life easier when I’m shopping. Everything just always looks good when you pick black or white. I have no fear of color whatsoever at all, but I just feel that everytime I buy something colorful, I never really end up liking it as much as I would if it was in black or white. Which leads me to ask myself, “why do I even bother buying color to begin with?”. It’s the paradox of my life. To constantly want to wear color, but never be able to truly enjoy it since I always just end up getting bored of it so quickly.

I guess that I’ll just have to accept the fact that I lead a very monochrome lifestyle which can’t be helped. Yes I can do something about it to change how I dress everyday, but I don’t feel like maintaining colors are much of a me thing to do. I’ve tried incorporating color into my life, but in the end, I always end up gravitating back towards black and white. Perhaps this is my one true fashion calling.
