Bargain hunters rejoice! The Nordstrom Warehouse Sale is back and I had the opportunity to pre-shop it this past weekend and give you the low down on what’s available. In the past there was ample inventory for contemporary lines, but this time the designer offerings have been seriously improved as well. Sure there’s going to be some VINCE and Tory Burch to be found in the mix, but if you dig deep enough you’ll be able to unearth some Proenza Schouler, KENZO, Acne Studios, Simone Rochas, and Junya Watanabe goodies as well. Shocked? I was (and very impressed too)!
I recently picked up some new camera equipment because my poor Nikon D600 has finally been laid to rest (it hit some bad times on my recent Mexico trip), so this shopping trip was a little tamer for me than usual. Typically when I visit the Nordstrom Warehouse Sales, I go ham. I mean, how can I help it? You can literally get up to 80% off of regular price, so that’s quite the steal if I say so.
That being said, this time around I was on the hunt for some dresses to wear for the summer and to a wedding. Before anyone gets all Morticia Addams on me, scroll down and check out the back of this dress. It’s not all gothic. Okay, well maybe just a little, but it’s cute AF and I’ve been eyeing it for the longest time online without taking the plunge since at full price it’s a little bit outside of my comfort zone for how much to spend on a single dress.
I found this For Love & Lemons dress (so lucky) in my size and decided to try it on for measure. It was the only one left hanging on the rack and I’m usually skeptical about singular pieces because it (more often than not) means that it’s been damaged and no one wants it. Surprisingly, this one was in perfect condition – and it fit! For $59.99 instead of ~$400, I basically had no reason not to buy it. The same one in white has been sitting in my online shopping cart for the last 2 months, but I’ve been hesitant to make the final purchase click since I can’t really justify how many times I’ll be able to wear it. It’s such a statement piece, that it’s one of those dresses that has a short lifespan, or you’d have to get really creative as to how/where/when you wear it in order to maximize its life.
I also picked up the cutest little Suboo summer dress (not pictured, similar print here) for a steal at $35. Summer picnics here I come! I originally also had a beautiful pink-fringed Stella McCartney bag in my hands as well but at the last minute decided to leave it behind since it was a little more than what I had anticipated on spending. Nonetheless, I emerged victorious and extremely satisfied with my friends.
Even though stock is replenished daily, I highly recommend that you go as early as possible in order to get your hands on the best products. For anyone that’s interested, here is the information on the sale below:
