Leather Weather

Leather Weather

It finally seems like we’re at that time of the year again – leather weather. Last year, I thought that I had wore something leather related every single day. And I had good reason to believe so. I always either had on a leather, skirt, shorts or even pants. And when it wasn’t clothing, you could most likely come across me wearing leather shoes or carrying some sort of leather backpack.

I thought that I’d be able to keep up with appearances all throughout the summer – but lo and behold – it just wasn’t feasible. You see, nothing sweats more than leather. Well it doesn’t sweat on its own, but it seriously makes you sweat like a pig roasting over a fire.

I can’t believe that I’m saying this, but I’m excited for the weather to get a little bit chillier so that I can bust out the leathers once again and wear them without sweating buckets.

Side note, leather can get risqué looking real quick, but there are some ways to tone it down. I actually wore this outfit to work and it was perfectly casual, yet the silhouette stayed a little professional (yes leather can be professional too).

Had the skirt been any shorter, it would have been appropriate for a club. The length of the hem is what makes it, and pairing it together with some sneakers definitely toned down the night-out-on-the-town feel.

I definitely can’t wait till the weather gets even colder so that I can break out more and more of my leather pieces! Bring it on leather weather!
