Little Things

There’s more to life than just lifestyle blogging. I’ve been fortunate enough to have met so many talented and creative individuals in the industry. And besides just getting the work that needs to be finshed, there are many people who I’ve since built personal relationships that extend well beyond the professional setting. It’s the little things during the downtime that you have to yourself that matter the most. Whether it be vegging out in front of the TV for 10 hours on end watching the entire 3 seasons of your favorite show (trust me I’ve done it) or going hard on social media and pushing your media kit to PR firms, at the end of the day, after everything has vanished, you’ll be the only person/thing left to take care of yourself.

I’ve recently found myself falling more and more in love with accessories as opposed to just the clothing that makes you look fashionable. I’ve experimented with scarves and a variety of other shoes, but never quite so much now as I have had before. My current favorite accessory is the single watch that I own which doesn’t come with metal links. I’ve long wanted a leather banded watch and was finally gifted one from P over the holidays.

But besides just accessorizing my outfits, I’ve accessorized my day with indulgences that go beyond just eating to fill myself up. If you were to ever peek into my office at work, you’ll most likely find a box of macarons per week. And it’s not us (the co-workers) who are bringing them in, but rather they are gifted to us by others. And if you were to think that my macaron obsession were to end when they’re readily available, then you are sorely mistaken. I’ve been going out of my way to try out a variety of bakeries within the GTA, and happened to stumble upon Delysees one late evening after a work meeting.

The owner of the store was appreciatingly generous. I had requested that he remove a box of eclairs from his window display and over to his white counter tops. Yes I’m the girl that will ask people to do things for me so that I can get a nice picture. But hey, it works, so I don’t plan on changing my personality anytime soon.
