Meet My New Favourite Home Appliance!

It’s been an interesting year to say the least. It certainly did not go the way that I had originally planned for it to, but I don’t regret a single moment of it. Instead of getting married and traveling the world like we had originally intended to, Peter and I ended up spending significantly more time at home together, with our family and friends, and shifting our focus towards our home instead of what was going on outside. Together we made the decision to make our lives at home as comfortable and functional as possible since we were spending so much more time indoors, and began investing more towards our everyday home life instead of the superfluous things.

Since making that decision, we’ve definitely upgraded a few things at home that I can’t wait to share with you! Not only did we finally find the time to thoroughly deep the clean the house, but we’ve also gotten really efficient at decluttering as well. One of the most recent changes was the addition of Eureka’s 2-in-1 Stick Vacuum. If you follow me on Instagram, than you’ll know that I’m a bit of a vacuum nerd. Between myself and our dog Kobe, there’s plenty of hair to go around due to our constant shedding, and I can’t stand seeing hair balls or dust collect around our home. I kid you not I probably vacuum at least 2-3 times a day. Now this isn’t your regular vacuum routine where I go over every single surface in our home, but it’s more akin to a spot cleaning method where anytime I spot a clump of hair or dust, it instantly gets sucked up into the vacuum.

I don’t think I’ve been this excited for a new home appliance since we got our espresso machine a few years back.

Added to the ergonomics of a stick vacuum is the ball-head attached to the base of the vacuum that allows for it to smoothly turn corners and easily accessing all of the tightest nooks and crannies without constantly banging into things. One of the ancient vacuums that my parents used to have constantly did this and it drove me nuts! I’m a huge fan for how easily this Eureka stick vacuum just glides around the floor sucking up all of the dust and hair without me having to frustratingly maneuver it around the furniture.

I’m so happy with our new vacuum that I could spend an entire day just vacuuming up our place! Thankfully it’s got a 60 minute battery life to stop me from actually spending all day vacuuming, but lasts long enough to vacuum up our entire place without running out of juice! This is probably also by far one of the lightest vacuums I’ve handled, so cleaning our home is now a breeze and no longer feels like a workout.

Peter is not big on vacuuming, but he’s been really enjoying using our new Eureka too, primarily due to its cordless and compact design. He’s a stickler for things being left out in the open and resulting in eye-sores, but the design of our new stick vacuum is so aesthetic it doesn’t even look like your typical household appliance. You can bet that this little guy gets its very own spot against the wall in its charging port! This is definitely one home appliance I don’t mind showing off to guests!
