How to Pull off the Pinstripe – 3 Ways

I bet you thought that pinstripes were for the office. You thought wrong! I love turning down a formal piece of wear into everyday casual, and pinstripes are just one example of a print that is extremely versatile and fun to play with. When Dynamite challenged Tee, Qing, and myself to style their new pinstripe collection in our own different style and ways, we instantly jumped on the challenge. We each all have our very own unique and different aesthetics so it was fun to see them all shine through our different outfits. Here’s how to pull off the pinstripe trend in three different ways!

When I think of trousers, I envision something super formal and reserved for a corporate office. But that’s not the case. I love to bring in a rugged edge to a refined piece of clothing and make it appropriate for everyday wear. Although I did pair it with a collared blouse, the pleather trench really brought the whole look together and grounded it. To turn up the everyday factor even more, I would even go as far as pairing the pinstripe trousers with a fun graphic T.

Qing is a pharmacist and works in a much more corporate and structured setting than Tee or myself, but she isn’t required to walk into work with a full suit. Styling her pinstripe blazer over top of a reversed pinstripe tank coupled with a pair of ripped skinnies, her outfit is perfect for a business casual setting. Though aptly appropriate for drinks with the girls afterwards as well!

Tee is the queen of layering and I love how she winterized her pinstripe skirt to suit the current weather. Opting to convert the pattern into a more casual one, she went the graphic T route and stayed warm under a wool-blend jacket.

I love how both of the girls styled their pieces and would even love to see an outfit totally comprised of the pinstripe print! Now all that’s left is to locate a top to match as well!
