Thinking Pink

Thinking Pink

I know, I know, there’s still lots of snow on the ground, but can’t a girl pretend that it’s Spring already? A little strappy heel never hurt did it? Especially when I spend my entire day indoors anyways. It’s not as if I ever had to go outside and give myself frost bite, so I don’t see why I can’t pull out this pair to enjoy for the meantime. The weather got significantly warmer this past weekend (although not yet warm enough to actually wear these shoes without a pair to change out of), so I’ve slowly been adjusting into my Spring/Summer wardrobe.

I’ve already gotten quite a bit of wear out of this crepe cardigan from H&M, but the majority of the time, I’d been layering it over top of longsleeved pieces for an extra layer of warmth as opposed to just a textural layering piece. Ever since I began blogging again, my outlook towards shopping has changed significantly. I won’t lie when I look for pieces that not only go well together with what I already own, but what will look interesting in photos.

Thinking Pink

This cardigan came in a variety of colors (black, periwinkle and this pink), and I really wanted to choose the black due to the fact that I didn’t own any cardigans in that color, but I held back. Only because the draping wouldn’t be as evident as it would be in this shade of pink. Now I’m not much of a pink person, but ever since this choice in color worked in my favor of this cardigan, I’ve been noticing that my eye lingers on anything pink in stores. Perhaps I’m beginning to become more in turn with my feminine side, or perhaps I’m just becoming comfortable with pink. Whatever it is, I’m glad that I’ve taken a step into a different territory of color.
