12 Days of Giveaways 2020

12 Days of Giveaways 2020

Wow, wow, wow! What a year it has been! It feels like it was only yesterday that it was March, and here we are midway through November. Now that Christmas is almost upon us, I’m really excited to be bringing back my annual 12 Days of Giveaways! Can you believe that this will be the 5th year in a row that I’ll be hosting this giveaway?

If this is your first time here to the blog, or your first time stumbling onto my annual holiday giveaway, you’re in for a treat. Each and every single year, I partner with some of my favourite brands to give back to my community and to thank you guys for all of the amazing support that you’ve given me this past year. It truly goes without saying that I wouldn’t be able to do what I do without each and every single person who reads my posts, leaves me lovely comments, and sends me the most heartfelt emails. So thank you a million times over! And although I would love to be able to send everyone a gift, that isn’t exactly the most feasible thing to do, so hopefully 12 lucky individuals will get to enjoy a little something special from my favourite brands right on time for the holidays (and sometimes some additional surprises along the way too!).

The rules as always are very simple (please read below). A new giveaway revealed each morning at 6:00 AM EST, and the winner from the previous date will also be revealed at the same time as well. Remember to come back daily for a new chance to win and I wish you all the best of luck!

Giveaway Rules

***GIVEAWAY CLOSED: ALL WINNERS HAVE BEEN ANNOUNCED AND WILL RECEIVE AN EMAIL FROM ME DIRECTLY***

  1. Leave a comment on this post with the date that you are entering along with your answer to the question (when commenting, make sure to register with an e-mail address so that I can contact you if you win!).
Ex. Day 1: We always wait exactly till midnight before we’re allowed to open any of our gifts!
  2. Follow me on Instagram.
  3. Subscribe to my YouTube channel.
  4. Note: Some days may have additional specific rules as per requested by the brand, please ensure that you are checking each time that you enter to make sure that your entry qualifies.
  5. BONUS ENTRIES:

All giveaways will be open till 11:59PM EST the day of and the winner of each day will be announced directly below each date.

The giveaway is open to all residents in Canada (unless otherwise stated) who are 18 years and older. If you are younger than 18, please ask for permission from your legal guardian.

Good luck!

12 Days of Giveaways 2020

WE ARE KNITTERS
Déjà Vu Hat x2

I was first introduced to We are Knitters last year and instantly fell in love. I grew up learning how to knit and crochet at a young age, but never quite fully what to do with the skill besides making scarves. I love how We are Knitters takes a modern approach to knitting and crocheting by supplying beautiful patterns that give me purpose to my hobby besides making endless scarves. I’ve made a couple of beautifully chunky sweaters that I absolutely love and can’t wait for someone else to also fall in love with the art of knitting as well! Today’s gift set features 2 sets of the Déjà Vu Hat set so that you can either make one for yourself and one for a friend, or get together with someone else and spend an afternoon knitting hats together!

Q: How will you be planning to get your holiday shopping done this year? In person at malls/stores, or mostly online?

Winner: Michelle L.

12 Days of Giveaways 2020

SKINCEUTICALS
Tone Balancing Kit

SkinCeuticals has got to be by-far one of my favourite and cult favourite skincare brands that I continuously go back to. They have so graciously offered to provide 1 winner with one of their holiday gift sets, and I chose this one since it includes most of my favourite products. My skin is nothing without their Phloretin CF serum along with their Physical Fusion sunscreen. If you’re new to the brand or have always dreamed of trying their products, now’s your chance!

Q: Has the pandemic affected how much you’ll be spending for the holidays (spending less since you won’t be seeing as many people/spending less because you want to be more conservative with your budget/spending more because it’s the only chance to celebrate with loved ones/spending more because you’ve been spending less overall all year)?

Winner: Kayla S.

12 Days of Giveaways 2020

AVEENO & NEUTROGENA

Winter seems to love wrecking havoc on my skin, and I now that I’m not alone. So I’m excited for someone to win this amazing body and skincare set from Aveeno & Neutrogena (these are some of their newest launches!) and to restore their skin for the upcoming chilly months!

12 Days of Giveaways 2020

WONDERBRA
New Wave Matching Set x2

I was so excited when WonderBra launched their New Wave collection with the comfiest lingerie! If you know me, then I’m a braless girl whenever I can because I’m not a fan of underwiring and uncomfortable bras, but this collection has totally changed my mindset! Not only is the fabric thin enough that it doesn’t even feel like I’m wearing anything, but it provides just the right amount of support so that I know that my girls are always in check! One winner will win 2 matching sets of the New Wave set to try out for themselves!

Q: What is your happiest memory of 2020 thus far?

Winner: Steffy B.

12 Days of Giveaways 2020

VICHY
Minéral 89
Liftactiv Specialist Peptide-C Anti-Aging Ampoules
Liftactiv Hyalu Mask
Liftactiv Collagen Specialist

Growing up, Vichy was one of the only skincare brands that helped me to tackle my acne that started popping up in my early 20’s. All other brands were too harsh, or not harsh enough, but Vichy was the perfectly formulated brand for taking care of only the breakouts while keeping the rest of my skin hydrated. They’ve recently released a line of new products that are specifically targeted towards anti-aging affects that I’m personally excited to be testing out and using on my skin as I get older, but I’m also excited for one winner to also bring this set home with them as well!

Q: How do you plan on celebrating the holidays this year? Will it be the same as years’ past, or will things be different for you?

Winner: Adrienne T.

12 Days of Giveaways 2020

ROWENTA
IXEO All-in-One Iron and Steamer Solution

I have literally travelled the world with my Rowenta X-cel Steam First DR6130 Handheld Steamer (it’s such a must when shooting fashion and your clothes get wrinkled in transit) and have always dreamed of a owning the IXEO for my home, so I was beyond excited to pick one up earlier this month. It’s been a dream to use (I iron and steam my clothes so often for work) that I can’t for someone to also win one of these for themselves! Up your steaming game this holiday season with Rowenta’s IXEO!

Q: Where do you get inspired to shop for the holidays (from online ads, recommendations, influencers, you already know what someone wants)?

I put together a set of product that can suite almost anyone so that you can either save the entire set for yourself, or share with your closest loved ones! BRIGHTECH
Win any lamp of your choice!

I’ve always had the hardest time looking for unique, yet affordable lamps for our home (all of the lamps that I see in stores always look the same, and cookie-cutter), so I was beyond ecstatic when we recently found Brightech and added the Gemini lamp to our living room. Not only is it stunning, but it’s insanely bright as well! I love that there’s also a dimming function which makes it great for setting the mood, whether requiring bright lights for work, or dimming it for a fun movie-date-night in!

Q: I love discovering local and small businesses, please share with me your favourite local and small business (and their website/IG handle if possible)!

I just had to include a little personal favourite of both mine and Peter’s, and that’s a lovely bottle of Hennessy. The lovely team over there have also graciously included a copy of their MH Coming Together Cocktails book, which is a limited edition coffee table book that is filled with unique and original cocktail recipes and stories from Canada’s top 50 mixologists that was created out of an initiative between the mixologists and Moët Hennessy. I love that all proceeds from the sales of this book will be going back towards the Canadian mixologists to support them through the disruption of their jobs due to the global pandemic. Not only will you learn more about these mixologists from the book, but you can try out some of the recipes yourself with all of the additional supplies in the kit! I can’t wait for someone to receive this giveaway set and to celebrate the holidays in style!

Winner: Jenny N.

12 Days of Giveaways 2020

OUR PLACE
Always Pan

It’s only been a few months since I’ve had my Always Pan from Our Place, but it has quickly become a fan favourite in our home! I love how easy it is to steam food (we’ve been obsessed with at-home dim sum since we can’t dine out anymore), how smoothly food slides off of the pan, and how large it is to be able to make servings of no less than 4! If I could, I would absolutely collect the pan in all of the colours!

So you can only imagine how excited I am to be sharing today’s surprise giveaway—and it’s going to be the very last one, what a great way to finish off the giveaway!—and to give one free pan away to one of my amazing readers! The pan is already on sale on their site for $50 off, but here’s your chance to win one all for yourself (and yes, you get to pick any colour)!

Q: Do you have any holiday meal traditions? If so, what are they? And if not, what is your favourite thing to eat during the holidays?

Winner: Irene H.

I really miss going outside whenever I felt like it and going to school to see my friends and professors However, I’m also grateful that we live in a time with amazing technology that allows us to see each other virtually. If it weren’t for that, I don’t know how I would survive being home for months on end. I’m also thankful for having food on my plate and a roof over my house. I know a lot of people are really struggling and my heart everyone who doesn’t have these things.

This year had made me realize how much we are dependent on essentiy workers and all those things like family , friends and food. November 16, 2020 / 3:17 pm

Day 3: I haven’t begun my actual shopping yet but I have been working on any homemade gifts for the last month already. Trying not to buy anything from Amazon so I think homemade and small business will be the way to go this year 🙌

  57. Sandra Tsai
    November 16, 2020 / 3:24 pm

    Day 3:
Haven’t started shopping yet though have started thinking of ideas. Am planning on shopping mainly online this year and hopefully earlier as well to avoid any delays!

  58. Sam
    November 16, 2020 / 3:33 pm

    Day 3
Yes I read somewhere to order gifts early to ensure that you would receive them in time as a result of more online shopping! I’m looking to support local businesses when it comes to my buying decision.

  59. Adrienne Tan
    November 16, 2020 / 3:35 pm

Day3, Nov 16: I am buying most of my Christmas gifts this year on Etsy to add some personalization to my gifts. For example, turning a photo into digital art, and even personalized Christmas cards!

  60. Amanda
    November 16, 2020 / 3:37 pm

Day 3: Haven’t started my shopping yet since I’m waiting for a couple Black Friday sales to start but I am starting my shopping earlier this year compared to previous years. I’ve always been someone who leaves it to the last minute but right now, I actually have my list completed, just need to physically acquire the gifts.

  61. November 16, 2020 / 3:37 pm

Day 2: My fave social media platform to consumer content is Instagram but I’m starting to like Tiktok more and more.

  62. Laura Nelson
    November 16, 2020 / 3:39 pm

Day 3: I’ve only started a few bits but will definitely be looking into Black Friday sales for shopping as things will have to be more online this year!

  63. Gladys
    November 16, 2020 / 3:59 pm

Day 3: Nope, I haven’t started holiday shopping yet but I have some ideas and hope to score some deals on Black Friday! I will probably be buying less gifts this year since there are less gatherings which means no white elephant! I might end up shipping gifts to some friends who live in different cities if we don’t get together this year.

  64. Shriya
    November 16, 2020 / 4:20 pm

Day 3: I have already started (dare I say, I’m almost done) my Christmas shopping. Since I won’t be able to see my extended family or friends, the list has been cut short this year. However, I’m making donations to local children’s charities in the name of my family and friends that I cannot see this year.

  65. Angelyn Norico
    November 16, 2020 / 4:48 pm

Day 3: Considering the current situation we are facing right now, I shopped earlier than the previous years. But this year will be a lot different. I shopped items that are very helpful and will keep everyone safe. I actually bought, masks and sanitizers as a gift. Hopefully my friends and relatives will like them! Really hoping for a better year ahead.

  66. November 16, 2020 / 4:57 pm

Day 3: No, I haven’t started my Xmas shopping yet. I just can’t decide what to buy yet. Hopefully the Black Friday sale will gimme some ideas.

  67. Victoria
    November 16, 2020 / 5:13 pm

Day 3: Yes! I’ve begun Christmas shopping, I started earlier this year in anticipation of the shipping delays. Sephora had an early sale so that was perfect for gifitng with the help of your guide! Hoping to get some black friday deals soon too!

    November 16th, 2020
Probably going to start soon, because I have no clue where to begin this year. Maybe just a lot of online shopping.

  72. Patricia
    November 16, 2020 / 6:14 pm

Day 3: started my holiday shopping at the end of October but will be gifting less this year because a lot of people I know didn’t feel safe exchanging gifts/shopping in stores and/or didn’t like to online shop haha. But I’m hoping to get my shopping done by Black Friday weekend!

  73. Mai Nguyen
    November 16, 2020 / 6:24 pm

Day 3: I have started! Not that much earlier than other years but I’m trying to shop more responsibly and support small businesses given the year we’ve had.

  74. Ari
    November 16, 2020 / 6:32 pm

Day 3: I haven’t started yet, but I’ve started thinking about it. I will probably gift the same as usual, but will have to decide whether I will mail the gifts or wait to do the exchange in person!

  75. Mindy
    November 16, 2020 / 7:04 pm

Day3: will likely be online shopping this year for presents. I already started but will likely try to do most of it during Black Friday !

    November 16, 2020 / 7:13 pm

Day 3: I haven’t started yet. This year I will be gifting less but more valuable. I plan to also buy from and support local brands as there are many amazing brands out there that need more recognition!

  78. Mansi
    November 16, 2020 / 7:20 pm

Day 3 : This Christmas shopping list would be much longer than any other year. This year has made us realize we nee dto be more thankful and grateful. My list has grown longer for Christmas shopping this year as due to the pandemic could not go and meet my family and friends and other people who matter to me. So i have started shopping extra just to show a little appreciation that they matter to me and even if we are not together we are still connected by heart and by goodwishes.

  79. Victoria
    November 16, 2020 / 7:34 pm

    Day 3!!
Definitely shopping MORE! Want to show everyone I love how much I care about them 💕

  80. Steph C
    November 16, 2020 / 7:45 pm

Day 1: I’m grateful for my hubby and puppy, they have definitely made my days brighter with more smiles and laughs

  81. Joelle
    November 16, 2020 / 8:33 pm

Day 3: omg wow L’occitane advent calendar! I look and lust over those every year! I’m nearly done shopping for christmas presents and I’m not even kidding! I pretty close to the same amount at previous years, I just did it earlier because I was afraid the stores might close again.
    Better safe than sorry!

  82. Rebecca L
    November 16, 2020 / 9:16 pm

Day 3: I’ve already started gift shopping but that’s normal for me because I love doing this and having everything done early! Since I’m just a student and I don’t have a part time job anymore, I’ll be giving less than I normally do. I’ve also been doing more shopping online instead of in person because it is safer. Regardless, I’m so excited for the holidays!

p.s. the L’Occitane advent calendar looks sooo fun! I’ve never had an advent calendar before! All the giveaways are phenomenal. Thanks Victoria!

  83. Steph C
    November 16, 2020 / 9:30 pm

  84. Natasha Knier
    November 16, 2020 / 9:53 pm

Day 3: I have not started shopping yet (I always leave it til the last minute LOL) but I will definitely be shopping a little more and hopefully trying to shop more locally to support smaller businesses!

  85. November 16, 2020 / 9:59 pm

Day 3: Yes! I’ve already started shopping and I think I’m actually just about finished getting gifts for everyone on my list! I normally start early just to make sure I can get something for everyone since I was on a student budget. Luckily this year, I got to splurge on everyone a little bit AND still have money set aside for Black Friday shopping!

  86. Sanchika Gowda
    November 16, 2020 / 10:21 pm

Day 1: I’m extremely grateful for my friends who are like my family here in Canada for keeping me sane throughout these hard times.
I’m really excited for this giveaway and I absolutely love your content.❤️

  87. Sanchika Gowda
    November 16, 2020 / 10:44 pm

Day 3: Haven’t started shopping yet! I’m planning to shop online mostly because I’m not sure when the stores will close suddenly and most probably I would shop less this time because of so many reasons this year.

  88. Judy
    November 16, 2020 / 11:43 pm

Day 3: shopping more since I cut travel time to the mall. Now its all online. Gifting less since there is less gatherings but cooking more.

  89. Jackie M
    November 16, 2020 / 11:48 pm

Day 3: Sort of! Been window shopping online. Totally changed because there are things I can’t see in person unless I venture into a mall or have to meet Free Shipping requirements. I will probably be gifting less.

  90. Suesanna Yuen
    November 17, 2020 / 12:08 am

Day 3: Yes, I have somewhat started my shopping as I see random sales and deals online! I will be gifting less since we will not be having large gatherings with our friends 🙁

  91. Suesanna Yuen
    November 17, 2020 / 12:09 am

Day 1: Super grateful that my husband and work from home, which allowed him to spend more time with my daughter and I.

  92. Lina
    November 17, 2020 / 1:07 am

    Day 3:
I haven’t started my christmas shopping yet, but have started thinking more about what to get people lately. This year I will likely be shopping online cause of Covid.

Take care and thank you for the giveaway!

  93. Cassandra L.
    November 17, 2020 / 1:27 am

Day 1: I’m so eternally grateful for my husband who has been working from home with me since March. Getting the groceries every weekend, making dinner each night and making sure I’m happy during lockdown.

  94. Cassandra L.
    November 17, 2020 / 1:30 am

Day 3: I think my shopping has changed a lot this year, especially since I prefer to shop in stores and that’s not really a good option right now. I’m super indecisive and shopping online seems so final and hard for gift exchanges. Hoping to make a lot of gifts this year and exchange on door steps. ❤️

  95. Rebecca
    November 17, 2020 / 2:24 am

Day 3: I haven’t yet! But I’ve been browsing online. It’s different in that I think I’ll do it all online this year.

  96. Mai Nguyen
    November 17, 2020 / 6:54 am

Day 4: I’ll be doing most of my shopping online this year or using cut side pickup.

  97. Steph C
    November 17, 2020 / 8:26 am

Day 3: I’m just starting holiday shopping with some Black Friday sales, this year will be different as I will be gifting less. This year has brought a lot of uncertainty but trying my best to stay positive and get meaningful gifts although it will be less this year.

  98. Linda
    November 17, 2020 / 9:33 am

Day 4: I’ll be doing all my shopping online this year.

  99. Mindy
    November 17, 2020 / 10:08 am

Day 4: I will be doing mostly online shopping this year! Also will be gifting less!

  100. Natasha Knier
    November 17, 2020 / 1:34 pm

Day 4: I will be doing ALL of my shopping online this year. No going into stores in person for me!

  101. Adrienne Tan
    November 17, 2020 / 1:40 pm

Day 4, Nov 17: For stores that I visit in person, I will be making my purchases in store in order to reduce waste. Online shopping is super convenient, but I find it also creates a lot of packaging waste!

  102. Mansi
    November 17, 2020 / 1:57 pm

Day 4 : I am very much looking forward to go window shopping and actually going to the mall. This past year has been ideal and sitting at home. So , this year i am really excited to get out of the house and buy gifts for my closed ones.

  103. Laura Nelson
    November 17, 2020 / 2:01 pm

Day 4: I’ll be doing a mix of local shopping and online this year to get everyone in the list!

  104. Heidi
    November 17, 2020 / 2:10 pm

Day 3: I have already started Christmas shopping. I am shopping earlier than usual. I don’t want to have to go out shopping in person so almost all will be online.

  105. Michelle
    November 17, 2020 / 2:43 pm

Day 4: I’ll be doing most of my Christmas shopping online. As we’re trying to limit our spending this year, we’re only buying for the kids in the family and extended family.

  106. November 17, 2020 / 2:56 pm

Day 4: I’ve done most of my holiday shopping online! I prefer to do more sentimental gifts, so most are illustrations I’ve ordered from various illustrators of pets, friends or family. I’ve only had to pick up a few things from the malls!

  107. Sarah Marks
    November 17, 2020 / 3:00 pm

Day 4: my goal is to do most of my shopping online, but also since I’m trying to focus more on supporting small businesses, it’ll have to depend on if they provide delivery or not. Another way I’m focussing my gifts is through making my own stuff. So a giveaway like this would be perfect to help my holiday gifts!

  108. Shriya
    November 17, 2020 / 3:25 pm

Day 4: I will be doing most of my shopping online this year!

      Day 4!
Definitely online!! Gotta respect folks working in stores just as I’m allowed to be home for my safety, so should they!

    November 17,2020-Day Four
I plan to do all my holiday shopping online instead of going into stores physically. So happy for this knitting giveaway! You are such a blessing.

  111. Tiffany
    November 17, 2020 / 8:59 pm

Day 4 start early to avoid shipping delays! Online mostly !

  112. Emma
    November 17, 2020 / 10:33 pm

Day 4: I’m mostly shopping online. I have made the stand to buy as much as I can through local and small businesses. This is the year to support those around us and Show others how great the stores in our community are!

  113. Angela Saunders
    November 17, 2020 / 11:38 pm

Day 4: I’ll be trying to visit local craft markets (safely!) and see if I can find some treasures in smaller local boutiques. Love keeping it local, especially with the kind of year we’ve had!

  114. November 18, 2020 / 1:22 am

Day 4: I am doing mostly doing online shopping. Probably have to start soon, in case there is any delivery delays.

  115. Irene
    November 18, 2020 / 5:36 am

Day 5: With a heavy heart for this upcoming holidays, truth be told… I have not started Christmas shopping at all. I’m usually finished 80% of my shopping by this time. Although shopping online more convenient it’s still different when you shop at the mall to feel and look for a specific gift for specific family members. I will definitely get gifts for my nieces and nephews and one gift per family household. I hope to begin shopping tonight.

  116. Ari
    November 18, 2020 / 6:36 am

Day 5: This year I will likely spend more on my nephews! They are 5, 3, and newborn! I want to buy them things to help stimulate their minds and keep them entertained/active as best I can. I worry about them and the lack of normal interaction they have with other children their ages while we all stay as safe as possible during this pandemic. I think it is especially hard for the little ones because time feels much longer for them and they don’t quite understand. Just want the best for them!

  117. Steph C
    November 18, 2020 / 8:19 am

Day 5: The pandemic has affected how much ill be spending for the holidays, since it began I was more conservative with money and continue to be so I will be spending less. Definitely have to be more mindful with budget and spending, past holidays I would begin shopping and just go crazy, but times are different now and I’ll need to cut down on spending.

  118. Annie wei
    November 18, 2020 / 9:35 am

Day 5: yes definitely, but if anything I think I’ll be spending more this holiday season because I haven’t been able to see a lot of my friends and family this year and just to show I’m thinking about them

  119. Mai Nguyen
    November 18, 2020 / 10:01 am

Day 5: I’ll be spending less this year since we are seeing less family. I also want to be more conservative with my spending and be mindful.

  120. Mindy
    November 18, 2020 / 10:09 am

Day 5: I’ll be spending less because I work less so I’ll be more mindful of my spendings. Also, my family is staying very cautious and trying to stay home more so we may not be able to spend Xmas together :/

  121. Emma
    November 18, 2020 / 1:24 pm

Day 5: I believe I will be spending more this year. Buying local does cost more then ordering through amazon but at least the money comes back to our community!

  122. Laura Nelson
    November 18, 2020 / 1:28 pm

Day 5: yes, we’ll be more mindful of our spending this year to keep money in our savings for unexpected circumstances .

  123. Anne Kieu
    November 18, 2020 / 1:29 pm

Day 5: I’ll be spending more because of the pandemic I’m having more time to do my online shopping. Especially when you can’t see everyone in person, the best way to showing your love is sending them those holiday gifts 🎁

  124. Mansi
    November 18, 2020 / 1:43 pm

Day 5: I will be spending more specially this year. Because i want to bring little packets of joy and happiness to the people i really love and care about. This year i would be extra cautious while spending though as i have to be thoughtful considering what other people might have gone through bug still want to show my appreytowards them.

  125. Michelle
    November 18, 2020 / 1:48 pm

Day 5: I’ll be spending less, may splurge more on the meal but less on buying presents and since we can’t see friends or extended family, there will be a lot less events to attend

  126. Carmen
    November 18, 2020 / 2:30 pm

Day 5, Nov 18: Spending about the same. We are still preparing gifts for family members but aren’t doing friends gift exchanges. I don’t really do individual friend gifts for the holidays. One of our stealing santa gift exchanges is now a giving santa virtual party so I think we will end up spending a similar amount as previous year!

  127. Catherine
    November 18, 2020 / 3:20 pm

Day 5: I usually shop year round (if I see a good gift in March, I’ll buy it and save it for a gift giving occasion). I’ll probably be spending less though since I won’t be seeing as many family members as before.

  128. Catherine
    November 18, 2020 / 3:22 pm

Day 5: probably spend around the same because I tend to buy gifts year round (if I see a great gift in May, I’ll buy it then and save it for the gift giving occasion)

  129. Adrienne Tan
    November 18, 2020 / 3:34 pm

Day 5, Nov 18: I am spending less as I won’t be buying gifts for coworkers/holiday parties/Secret Santa/White Elephant-type gifts. I am only planning to get gifts for those who are truly close to me!

  130. Vy nguyen
    November 18, 2020 / 3:37 pm

Day 5: I work all year long almost 7 days a week and during the holidays, I normally take a 2-3 weeks holiday and discover a new country. My boyfriend and I were suppose to travel to Asia this year but it’s not happening! I’ll be working over the holidays for the first time in 4 years.

  131. Shoree
    November 18, 2020 / 3:47 pm

Day 5, Nov 18: the pandemic holiday season will be one with just my significant other! Typically I would be with my family but since I am a nurse and on the frontlines and my grandma lives with my family I decided to be away from her for the time being!

  132. Cammy
    November 18, 2020 / 5:25 pm

Day 5, Nov 18: Spending the same since I usually only buy for a small handful of people but being especially mindful of shopping local whenever I can!

  133. Suzanne Giroux
    November 18, 2020 / 6:04 pm

Day 5 I will probably be spending more as I really have not been spending due to Covid so may as well really spoil the family this year.

  134. Kelila W
    November 18, 2020 / 6:53 pm

Day 5: I will be spending around the same! I typically spend the most on my family, so this year won’t be any different. My family and I would normally have a big dinner with friends, however this year it will just be us. This year has definitely taught me to cherish the time I spend with family and to focus on what matters most.

  135. MEHV
    November 18, 2020 / 7:17 pm

Day 5: unfortunately, spending less because I feel like I’ve completely lost control over my life and it’s circumstances

  136. Sylvia Chou
    November 18, 2020 / 7:26 pm

Day 5, November 18: Most likely, I will spend more during this year Holidays. We used to have different groups for gift exchange with friends. Because of the pandemic, we will most likely not be able to gather and see each others. So I think it would be nice to send them individual gifts to show them my appreciation and bring them a bit of joy during these difficult times.

  137. November 18, 2020 / 7:31 pm

Day 5: yes it has affected my yearly budget, however, now that I am working full-time, I’m willing to spend a little more on everyone on my list. I don’t have a large list luckily which gives me a freer will to spend a little more on them! Especially my parents, I already know they’re going to love their gift!

  138. Claudia N.
    November 18, 2020 / 7:35 pm

Day 5: I’ll be spending around the same! I’ll be saving as I won’t be seeing as many people, but I plan on spending more on my immediate family.

  139. Katie O
    November 18, 2020 / 7:41 pm

Day 5: This year I’m trying to be smart with my holiday purchases (hoping to take advantage of some Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals) but I would like to spoil my loved ones a bit especially since I think everyone could use a little bit of joy this year ☺️

  140. Linda
    November 18, 2020 / 8:24 pm

Day 5: I think I’ve been spending more for the holidays so far because I’m not able to see everyone as I used to.

    Nov. 18,2020
    Hello hello,
I just recently started following you via Instagram and I must say I love your page! Your guide to posing was a game changer so thank you for that. P.S while I was out shopping at the Niagara Premium outlets I saw your photo at RW&Co!!

Day 1: Q: It’s been a tough year for everyone. What’s 1 thing that you’re grateful for this year?
A: I am grateful for family! This year was a tough one but family has kept me in good spirits, supportive and entertaining during these tough times.

Day 2: Q: What is your favourite social media platform to consume content (ex. Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, Twitter, etc.)?
A: I wake up to Instagram, simply eye pleasing and easy to scroll!

Day 3: Q: Have you already begun your holiday gift shopping for the year? And has it changed compared to previous years (shopped earlier/will be gifting less/will be gifting more/etc.)?
A: Yes, I’ve already started my shopping! This year I definitely started earlier, I plan on wrapping some this weekend! This year will likely be less gifts because we won’t be participating in secret Santa this year but we are bottling wine this year which is affordable and makes for a great gift for those we won’t see this year!

Day 4: Q: How will you be planning to get your holiday shopping done this year? In person at malls/stores, or mostly online?
A: This year mostly all my shopping has been online, I will make a few stops at select stores. I also order custom chocolates each year for everyone and I will be placing my order early this year to avoid any holdups.

Day 5: Q: Has the pandemic affected how much you’ll be spending for the holidays (spending less since you won’t be seeing as many people/spending less because you want to be more conservative with your budget/spending more because it’s the only chance to celebrate with loved ones/spending more because you’ve been spending less overall all year)?
A: I will likely be spending more this year. I ordered many gifts online and I find in my spare time I keep adding more to my cart! I plan to keep within a budget but there is always last minute gift. I love the holidays and love to share joy and make people happy!

  142. Joelle
    November 18, 2020 / 9:40 pm

day 5: Skinceuticals!!! I’ve repurchased the UV defence sunscreen tinted version a few times now. I get it at my dermatologist when I go for my hair removal top up session 2x a year. I’d love to try more from them! I’m spending the same amount for Christmas this year as any other. Sure I had 3 months of missing income but I also shopped less and spent nothing on entertainment or restaurants so I’m not too far behind ☺️☺️

  143. Sarah Marks
    November 18, 2020 / 9:57 pm

Day 5: absolutely! Some friends I normally buy a full gift for, I will just be sending cards. I don’t expect a gift from them, so a thoughtful card will be sufficient and efficient at letting them know I still care and wish them well.

Day 5: I am definitely spending all of my money on a flight and an Airbnb to enter the Atlantic bubble and quarantine so I can see my fam for Christmas safely. Maybe throwing in a few gifts for them here and there too. And myself of course.

Day 5: I love the skinceutical phloretin cf omg!! Definitely worth the money spent. Self care! This Holiday, I have definitely spend a lot online (self care). Beauty, shopping and going to stores here and there but mostly online. As for spending gifts for others, even though we might not get to meet up at all, I’ll send my friends/family E-gift cards so they can purchase what they want online🤩

Day 5: I have been spending more on myself and my family for sure. Covid is making me shop more!

    • November 19, 2020 / 1:13 am

Oh man, definitely will be spending less! For a multitude of reasons. Won’t be able to travel to see everyone, my mom will be recovering from her mastectomy and I don’t want to risk her getting sick. And on top of that having to leave my job I loved so much because of covid, so I took a min wage job just to keep my bills paid so not much left over! Just a cozy Christmas at home with the pups, the cats, and the love of my life.

Day 5: yes! We saved a lot of money this past year staying home and ended up buying our first house! That is super exciting but because of the house, I’m trying to be more mindful about holiday shopping this year. We’re so fortunate to be in a new home so I don’t mind budgeting more tightly this year!

Day 5: oh wow what a fail. I was on a call for work and totally read the wrong question and answered off topic !

I’m spending less this year as I own a restaurant and let’s just say the pandemic hasn’t been too nice to our industry. I will try my best to support local businesses that are in the same predicament. I cant wait for the holidays and being able to see family.

Day 5: I think this year I’ll spend less on others but more on myself? Since there’s no gathering this year, I don’t think I’ll be buying anyone gifts aside for my boyfriend. I think one thing that this pandemic changed is where I will choose to buy my gifts. I want to support more local stores and brands instead of international brands. Just so sad when u go out and see all these empty store fronts! I know I’ll be spending more on ordering take outs and delivery too! Haha

Day 7 – 2020 definitely had more downs and ups but that doesn’t mean it’s cancelled! Back in Jan, my boyfriend and I celebrated our one year together by going to a trip to Hawaii (A MUST GO) before all this craziness happened. And since then our relationship has deepened by learning how to cope and deal with one of the biggest downfall of 2020 -COVID. And through it all we’ve definitely have a bigger deeper understanding of each other and I am so grateful of that.

Day 7: Even though 2020 sucked in so many ways possible, looking back I actually had some really fun moments. Graduated from Ryerson (still so disappointed that all convocations were cancelled) but I’m so glad I managed to pull through in the middle of a pandemic ’cause it was so so stressful when everything was changing so quick back in March/April. During the summer I got a lot of ‘me’ time which I didn’t have and before so it was really nice to go on different hikes and farm and enjoying the outdoors. I also got promoted at work so that’s a plus.

Day 7: It has been a very challenging year for all of us but despite that we strive to continue with life and adapt to the new normal and of course we try to have fun amidst this pandemic. The happiest memory I’ve banked for 2020 was when I had the chance to work in the health care field. I was ready to face the pandemic first hand. And that’s what I wana do, help others and take care of the sick. It’s very challenging yet very fulfilling to be able to help. This is indeed a very memorable year for me ♥️

Those memories had mark my heart forever because it made me realize how important it is to be friends and families during difficult times. Friends and families that made the effort to visit us every weekend and every other weekend made you realize who will always be there for you. It’s definitely one of my fondest memories because those memories made us even closer than ever.

Day 1: what I’m grateful for this year will be always my friends, my families and the lives of the loved ones. There’s a saying “You never know what you have until it’s gone” with this year rapid changes around the world it made me realize that quote is so true! You never know what you have until it’s gone and so many of us have lost something this year. Whether it’s our job, our homes, our significant loved ones and ourselves as well. I’m grateful that all my families and friends are healthy.

Day 2: My favourite social media would definitely be Instagram and YouTube. I believe that those social platform can be so Inspirational! Whether you’re looking for fashion, makeup and lifestyle inspirations . The perfect way to be inspired is Instagram and YouTube for me.

Day 3: fortunately, I will start my shopping today! Everything will be changed because with the lockdown happening we still can’t see families and it’s difficult to plan. Day 8: definitely different! No large family gatherings, probably just something small with my partner and our pets! 🙂

    November 21, 2020 / 7:19 pm

Day 7 I don’t often enter giveaways but lord knows mama needs some undergarments! My favourite of 2020 was telling my kids they were going back to school. They never once complained of having to wear a mask or all the new protocols! They were just happy to leave the house. Never seen kids so happy in my life and I’ll remember their reaction forever

Day 8: definitely different! I feel like being surrounded by my loved ones is an integral part of every celebration for me. So this year will definitely be different

    November 21, 2020 / 9:43 pm

Day8: i plan to celebrate the holiday in a different way than this year as i am grateful and we should be gald that we are on the fortunate side of this whole thing. I will be handing out extra gifts and be more generous.

    November 21, 2020 / 9:52 pm

Day 8: We won’t be seeing our extended family for the holidays this year. I think we’ll connect over video calls instead! It’s different but we’ll still be thinking of all our loved ones 🙂

    November 21, 2020 / 10:23 pm

Day 8: unfortunately this year there won’t be much of a celebration for Christmas : ( I normally spend Christmas with friends… a pot luck gathering with around 20 people. That’s not gonna happen this year! So it’ll just be my boyfriend, my dog and I celebrating alone. We’ll for sure be eating some good food tho!!

    November 21, 2020 / 10:31 pm

Day 8: This year will different, there won’t be the usual large gatherings like every year. I plan on having video calls with family instead, this way we will all stay safe and do our part to flatten the curve.

  235. Sarah Marks
    November 21, 2020 / 10:53 pm

Day 8: my family usually has pretty low key christmases, as both my parents are born immediately surrounding Christmas itself. So just the four of us, my parents, brother, and I will be our gathering. Same as usual, so we can enjoy each other’s company

Hello! I am new here but already obsessed !

    November 21, 2020 / 11:06 pm

Day 8, Nov 21: I lost my mom just this week, so I will be celebrating my Christmas with her in my heart. My mom loved Christmas and always decorated the entire house, and that is a tradition I will continue in the future with my own home. Christmas may not look the same but my family and I will continue to come together during holidays to celebrate and enjoy each other’s company and create new memories. I love you mom.

    November 21, 2020 / 11:22 pm

Day 8 – How do you plan on celebrating the holidays this year? Will it be the same as years’ past, or will things be different for you?

A quiet night at home with family! This year will be very different since we can’t have our annual big Christmas dinner with extended family, but we will make it extra festive for ourselves to make up for it 🙂

  238. Jessica
    November 21, 2020 / 11:25 pm

DAY 8: I will be spending Christmas with my immediate family. It will certainly be different as we usually spend it with our large extended family and enjoy each other’s company during the holiday season. However, we will be sure to do lots of video calls to still be a part of each other’s holiday celebration!

  239. November 22, 2020 / 9:30 am

Day 8: This year will be very different from previous years. I normally travel during the holidays and visit my extended family. I guess I will be just staying home in front of a cozy fireplace and video calling my family this year.

    November 22, 2020 / 10:29 am

Day9: omg Rowenta! I actually follow some people on Ig who post good deals. One of them posts all amazon good sales. I always get interested when I see stuff you and Mel unbox. Otherwise my husband will tell me about things on red flag deals.

  241. Linda
    November 22, 2020 / 10:40 am

Day 9: I usually already know what people want because they tell me what they want 🙂

  242. November 22, 2020 / 11:02 am

Day 9: I get inspired from holiday gift guides made by influencers, what their recommendations are, and I pay attention to what my friends and family are looking for, what they like, etc. Based on this, I try to look for items that are on their wish list or if it’s something that fits in with their aesthetic based on what’s on trend. I’ve ordered illustrations for most of the people on my list this year since it’s something meaningful and something I think that they would like. I got this inspiration from Whitney Simmons from all the illustrators that have illustrated her engagement, they all did such a great job and I knew it would make a great gift!

  243. Steph C
    November 22, 2020 / 11:42 am

Day 9: I get inspiration from Instagram, influencers, emails, online ads and even window shopping! But I find most inspiration from influencers and Instagram, last year you posted about Pandora gifts and it couldn’t have been more perfect for my mom and sister! 🙂

  244. Mai Nguyen
    November 22, 2020 / 11:54 am

Day 9: I try to scope out what my friends and family want for Christmas but I also get inspiration from IG and my favourite stores.

  245. PATRICIA LU
    November 22, 2020 / 12:26 pm

Day 9: I usually try to see what they want but if if not, then I resort to influencers and browsing online for gift ideas

  246. November 22, 2020 / 2:41 pm

Day 9: I get inspired by instagram posts and stories

  247. Sarah Marks
    November 22, 2020 / 2:46 pm

Day 9: I am the worst gift giver, I like being given a list and specific ideas. But! If I’m trying to be thoughtful and surprise them then I think about all the gifts that have made me feel really special or happy. I also love personalized gifts, so a basic thing With a monogram or photo on it is always nice too.

  248. November 22, 2020 / 3:00 pm

Day 8: I think the holidays will be quite different without seeing my friends. I’ll be sending my friends goodies from local makers directly to their homes instead of in person. Definitely more zoom holiday parties . Hoping for in person christmas 2021.

  249. Rebecca
    November 22, 2020 / 3:02 pm

    Day 8:

Q: How do you plan on celebrating the holidays this year? Will it be the same as years’ past, or will things be different for you?
A: This year my Christmas celebrations are still up in the air, our family is still undecided. Friends of ours will be celebrating via Zoom which might be our only option. We will drop gifts off and all have a Zoom call to “exchange” gifts. I work this Christmas for the first time in 28 years I will be celebrating with my residents at the long term care home and then I will be back home for dinner. I’m excited to share in the celebration with my coworkers and the elders I care for each day!

    Day 9:
Q: Where do you get inspired to shop for the holidays (from online ads, recommendations, influencers, you already know what someone wants)?
A: This year much of my inspiration came from YouTube influencers, I watched a lot of Amazon Hauls and suggested Christmas gifts via YouTube. I purchased many of my gifts on Prime day and very happy with the gifts. One last amazon haul for my on cyber Monday and my shopping will be complete!!

  250. November 22, 2020 / 3:02 pm

day 9: Before I would walk around the different Toronto neighbourhoods like the Distillery and Kensington market for gifting inspiration. Now I look to Toronto Influencers and the neighbourhood BIA posts for ideas .

  251. Katie O
    November 22, 2020 / 6:16 pm

Day 9: I usually try to make a mental note if someone mentions somethings they may want or need throughout the year, and then get it for them as a gift! I am also often inspired by online ads for potential gifts!

  252. Natasha Knier
    November 22, 2020 / 9:17 pm

Day 9: I usually try to keep a little list of ideas of things they mention they want throughout the year, otherwise I like reading reviews and gift idea blogs!

  253. Adrienne Tan
    November 22, 2020 / 11:18 pm

Day 9, Nov 22: I am inspired by things I know people like, and also Christmas lists from different websites like Buzzfeed!

  254. Jackie M
    November 22, 2020 / 11:23 pm

Day 9: influencers (from their true recommendations and not sponsored unless they truly vouched for it) and social media of brands and stores. Also I would browse selected retailer sites (especially if they have a good exchange and return policy).

  255. Jennifer Lee
    November 22, 2020 / 11:33 pm

Day 1: It’s been a tough year for many. I’ve been grateful that I have a great workplace that allows me to work from home. Our boss is always trying fun zoom meetings with contests and prizes to keep morale up. Even the cleaners of the office have been able to participate and win cool prizes.

  256. Jennifer Lee
    November 22, 2020 / 11:36 pm

Day 8: Usually I have a holiday get together with my high school friends and separate holiday parties with former coworkers. This year will just be zoom and virtual board game get togethers for Christmas

  257. Jennifer Lee
    November 22, 2020 / 11:37 pm

Day 9: I scroll through instagram for gifting inspiration! Some content creators like you have amazing ideas!

  258. Amanda Wong
    November 23, 2020 / 12:00 am

Day 9: I check instagram for ideas and make notes of things i know they want or would be excited to try.

  259. Glenna C
    November 23, 2020 / 12:09 am

Day 9: I definitely get influenced off online ads, influencer reviews for the holiday. It’s great if I knew what people what. But that doesn’t always happen.

  260. November 23, 2020 / 12:23 am

Day 9: I browse through Instagram for inspirations, and check out recommendations from influencers that I follow. If I have a specific product in mind (eg. wine glasses), I google to check for bloggers’ reviews and recommendations.

  261. Kelle Lam
    November 23, 2020 / 12:28 am

Day 9: I have my few fave places to shop normally so I always check especially when there’s sales! Ads on fb and ig are tempting but I just don’t know if I should trust those websites. So I like checking out different hauls and review on YouTube! Most youtubers (or at least the ones I like) give honest opinions. Plus the try on hauls are the best since we all know how model pictures aren’t ideal on real bodies lol

  262. Michelle
    November 23, 2020 / 12:57 am

Day 9: definitely from a combination of what people want/need, influencers gift guides and just browsing the internet and seeing what interesting things come up. I like influencers gift guides for beauty gift set recommendations or introducing a niche/brand I’ve never heard of.

  263. Kelila
    November 23, 2020 / 1:11 am

Day 9: It has been a tradition in my family to do Secret Santa and we use this site where we can personally link the items that we want. This makes it super easy as we can always just pick up something from the list! For close friends I do browse on Instagram and look at influencers for inspiration, but something I end up window shopping and find something that reminds me of them.

  264. Irene
    November 23, 2020 / 5:10 am

Day 9: I get inspired by the emails I get from the stores I am subscribed to. Also, I am inspired by just looking at any holiday decorations. It really reminds me of home, family, peace and love. I am inspired to give more than receive in times like this but I am inspired by the emails and holiday decors. Social platforms is also another inspiration where people showcase where to have shopped recently. Unfortunately, I do not know what my family or friends want. Despite this, I am sure I can tackle gifting this year. 😊

Day 10: one thing I want to accomplish in 2021 is to finally graduate college with a diploma. I’ve been working at Toronto District School board for 4 years and the daycare for 7 years full time and I go to school part time at night. With 7 courses left, my goal is graduate and attend university afterwards. 🙏🏼

  265. Natasha Knier
    November 23, 2020 / 8:31 am

Day 10: Something I want to accomplish in 2021 is to improve my financial literacy! There’s so much they don’t teach you about this in school and I think it’s a critical skill to have as early as possible.

  266. November 23, 2020 / 8:33 am

Day 11: One of my year-long goals is to continue to keep my workout schedule consistent even throughout the Christmas holidays. I’ve done really well this past year and have been trying to improve both my physical and mental health after a few years of getting a little lost. I have seen such improvements in myself and I’m striving for it to continue throughout the holidays and into the new year.

I am a huge empath and feed off of making other people happy, but have realized this sometimes comes at a cost to myself. So going to try to start making an active effort to be happy by doing things for myself as well. Not sure if that counts? LOL

Day 7: A happy memory of 2020 was in March before Covid-19 where my close friends and I had an art date where we worked on our projects together, along with lots of gret conversations, coffee, and pizza. I haven’t seen them in months so I cherish that day.

Day 8: This year’s holiday season will be different because of the virus so I won’t be able to see my friends or people from church to have our annual gift swap/white elephant or secret santa. I will really miss this because I love giving to others and it’s always a fun time to see what everyone got and their reactions. I’ll be having dinner with my family for Thanksgiving and hopefully with my aunts and uncles and 2 cousins for Christmas (I have a really small family).

    November 24, 2020 / 6:01 pm

Day 10: A goal I have for 2021 is to stop being so hard on myself. I’m a huge perfectionist and definitely a people pleaser and I always spread myself out too thin. I hope to change my mindset to prioritize the important things to me and to stop thinking so negatively about myself if things aren’t 100% perfect (especially in school, as I toxically base my self-worth and intelligence on my grades). This has been something I’ve always struggled with but I’ve been working on and will continue to work on.

    November 25, 2020 / 11:08 am

Day 12: truthfully, one of my bucket list was to always volunteer at a shelter to give out food during the holidays. With this lockdown happening I’m not sure that would be possible. However, I’ve always sent boxes of goodies back home (Philippines) to help the children in need. My sister-in-law and I would organize every holiday a box full of goodies to help children in poverty such as pencils, erasures, calculators, anything that is educational. And at the end of the day, it’s a great feeling to help those who are in need! The best part of helping the children back home is that we would received some photos of the children opening the box and seeing happy and grateful is nothing compared to opening a gift for yourself!

Every Christmas the staff purchase gifts for the residents who do not have family. This year I will be buying gifts for multiple residents. The nursing home staff also contribute to a donation to help a local family in need during this holiday season! It’s the season to be jolly and seeing someone else’s happiness brings so much joy!

Day 11: my favourite Canadian winery is @foreignaffairwine.

The absolute most delicious cupcakes are from @decadentlyyours in Guelph and no other cupcakes compare!

In my home town of Elora there is the cutest tea room @thewildtart with the most delicious desserts! They made up the cutest Mother’s Day lunch that I ordered for delivery to my moms house back in lockdown in May 💕

  371. Mansi
    November 26, 2020 / 12:13 pm

Day 12: I try my best to help everyone in any way if possible. I bell even the small things helps. I work in food industry and during the pandemic people were low on cash and i tried my best to give them free food and drinks whenever possible. I go to my local food bank and donate food every once in a while even before the pandemic and have still continued to do so.

  372. Valerie S.
    November 26, 2020 / 1:28 pm

Day 12: My company loves giving back so my co-workers and I go help out at our local food bank at least once a month!! And of course during this time always shopping and eating local 🧡

  373. Sherry Leung
    November 26, 2020 / 2:38 pm

Day 13: Hardest person would be my older sister. She has everything!

  374. Haritha
    November 26, 2020 / 2:55 pm

Day 13- Hardest person to gift is my dad because he is very selective in everything !!

  375. Shriya
    November 26, 2020 / 3:13 pm

Day 13: My dad is the hardest person to shop for because he’ll never tell us what he wants. He’s much too humble and always says he has everything he needs!

  376. Mindy
    November 26, 2020 / 3:16 pm

Day 13: my husband is the hardest person to shop for because he claims he has everything and if he didn’t have it, he would want the best one out there, which is usually wayyyy more than I can afford. He’s very particular. I would usually wait for him to show interest in a product and then jump up and say “I’ll get it for you!” It’s not as fun as a nice surprise.

  377. Michelle
    November 26, 2020 / 3:20 pm

Day 13: the boys in my life! Grandpa, dad, fiancé, brother … it’s so hard to shop for them! I am always stumped

  378. Jenny Nguyen
    November 26, 2020 / 3:21 pm

Day 13 – The hardest person to shop for is definitely my boyfriend’s Mom! It’s already hard shopping for my own Mom! My boyfriend’s Mom is always buying me gifts and when I get her something she would get mad because shes always telling me to save my money! So it’s very hard to get her something where she won’t say “you shouldn’t have”!

    November 26, 2020 / 3:24 pm

    Day 13: my dad!!!!
    Tech: he has it all
    Scents: loaded
    Watches: every brand/style
Clothes; he donates more clothes than everyone in my family but still has more than all of us
Tools/supplies; Lowe’s is his favourite place in the world, so also has everything

It is so HARD to think of what to get him. But I find men in general are harder to shop for

  381. Amy Zhang
    November 26, 2020 / 3:25 pm

    Day 13:
Shopping for my mom is definitely the hardest. Just because I never actually know whether she will think it’s worth it, or will put it to use.

  382. Amanda
    November 26, 2020 / 3:35 pm

Day 13: Definitely my mom! She’s really humble and there’s not much she wants in terms of physical items. The only thing she ever wants from us for birthdays and holidays is to spend more quality time with us, of which we happily obliged. It’s great because everyone makes more of an effort to spend time together, but can be frustrating when we have bigger gifts for the rest of the family. We typically compromise by buying her smaller gifts and/or gift cards to her favourite places and then by cooking/baking her favourite dishes.

  383. Emma
    November 26, 2020 / 3:49 pm

Day 13: my dad is the hardest as he just buys things when he wants them and doesn’t like a lot of things. Trying to get him something he will actually like and not just a filler gift always takes lots of thought and really listening to the small things he mentions

  384. Ari
    November 26, 2020 / 4:35 pm

Day 13: my boyfriend! Whenever he wants or needs something, he immediately gets it for himself.

  385. Rebecca
    November 26, 2020 / 5:03 pm

    Day 13:
Q: Who is the hardest person to shop/find a gift for and why?

A: hardest person to buy for us my boyfriends cousin, he has everything and buys everything. Makes gift giving nearly impossible because he has everything! We usually stick to Jordan’s since he has a collection but it doesn’t feel much of a surprise or as exciting as giving something he needs or really wants! Regardless he is thankful for the gifts he receives!!

  386. Karen
    November 26, 2020 / 5:03 pm

Day 13: My sister! Her taste is beyond mine! Hehe

  387. Mai
    November 26, 2020 / 5:38 pm

Day 13: The hardest person to shop for is my dad. He doesn’t like change and keeps his items for an insane amount of time. He always tells me that he already has everything he needs!

  388. Irene Hernandez
    November 26, 2020 / 5:57 pm

Day 13: the hardest person To buy a gift for is…hmm…it is definitely a tie. My mom and my husband! Oh, boy! What a challenge. I have my husband who always says he doesn’t need anything which is ten times harder for me actually get a good gift and I have my mom who’s the pickiest at everything! She would say,“don’t buy me clothes for Christmas, don’t buy me shoes because I have a lot, don’t buy jackets because I don’t need it” it’s definitely a tie between my mom and my husband! Lol 🥴 🤕

  389. Sarah Marks
    November 26, 2020 / 6:54 pm

Day 13: all the men in my life. All of them tend to just buy what they need, or don’t verbally say something. Giving a gift list isn’t a selfish thing to me, Infact, it helps a great deal. I wish they would just sit down for 10 mins and tell me what it is they would like under the tree 😂

  390. Linda
    November 26, 2020 / 7:22 pm

Day 13: My brother is the hardest person to buy a gift for because he doesn’t like many material things.

  391. Katie O
    November 26, 2020 / 8:55 pm

Day 13: My dad is so hard to shop for! He always just buys anything he wants so I usually try to give him something he can drink or something that is an experience (such as tickets to an event)

  392. November 26, 2020 / 9:02 pm

Day 13: The hardest person to buy gifts for is probably for my boyfriend. It’s difficult to find something unique, sentimental, that isn’t something mainstream or on trend. I try to be as creative as possible and note things down when I find something that makes me think of him. For me, it’s a way to show effort that you thought of something cool to give!

  393. Joey
    November 26, 2020 / 9:12 pm

    Day 12:
I have been supporting small local businesses.
Every year, I like to donate to the Samaritan’s Purse Operations, which is packing Christmas gift filled shoebox for a child in need.

  394. Joey
    November 26, 2020 / 9:16 pm

Day 13: definitely my boyfriend! I always want to get him something special. He normally buys what he wants, so he pretty much has everything that he needs/wants. So I will have to be creative with his gifts.

  395. PATRICIA
    November 26, 2020 / 9:25 pm

Day 13: my cousin cause she’s super picky and only likes high end products but that’s not within everyone’s budget ya know???

  396. Gladys
    November 26, 2020 / 9:53 pm

Day 13: My parents are THE hardest people to shop for. They’re kind of picky and also never feel like they need anything. So a lot of the gifts I get them don’t get much use or wear. 😓

  397. Natasha Knier
    November 26, 2020 / 10:43 pm

Day 13: My parents are the hardest people to shop for for sure! They never really “need” anything because my mom tends to just go buy whatever they feel like having at the time! 🙂 Definitely have to get creative and put a lot of thought into their gifts.

  398. Jackie M
    November 26, 2020 / 10:50 pm

Day 13: My husband! He never wants anything 🙁 So its hard to put a present under the tree for him.

Day 13: my dear dad! I know dads are notoriously hard to buy for but for real, it’s SO GD HARD. He can make basically anything himself and is frugal to a fault – so will ‘save’ special items instead of using them. But this year, I just wish I could see him in person (we live on opposite coasts). It’s really hard to be apart from family right now, and I’m just hoping I get to see him again soon.

Helping out is the best way to learn to make some of her dishes like steamed fish and Shrimp ChengFun. Definitely, my faves are the seafood dishes.

The pandemic has affected our X-mas plans and spending as we will no longer gather with friends and family. It will be only my hubby and I this year. We will drop off gifts for them though so I would say my spending has stayed about the same.
